Position and planting

Float at the surface. Thin the growth as needed to maintain light, gas exchange, and access to the water surface.

Floating plant with long roots; keep some surface area open for gas exchange.

Lighting, CO₂ and nutrition

Light: Medium. CO₂: Not required. Difficulty: Easy.

Added CO₂ is not required in the current library guide, but stable light and sufficient nutrients remain important.

Keeping it healthy

Provide consistent light, suitable nutrition, and routine maintenance. Remove decaying leaves. Watch for algae or melting after transitions, and troubleshoot conditions before making sudden changes.
