Position and planting

Attach to wood or stone where appropriate, and keep rhizomes exposed rather than burying them.

Attach loose portions to hardscape and trim excess to reduce trapped waste.

Excellent cover for shrimp and fry; can be tied to hardscape.

Lighting, CO₂ and nutrition

Light: Low. CO₂: Not required. Difficulty: Easy.

Added CO₂ is not required in the current library guide, but stable light and sufficient nutrients remain important.

Keeping it healthy

Provide consistent light, suitable nutrition, and routine maintenance. Remove decaying leaves. Watch for algae or melting after transitions, and troubleshoot conditions before making sudden changes.
